The Culture & The hopeÂ
The culture,
like the generations before us
was to support and provide for the local town,
a quality product for a quality lifestyle,
it was fo'da people.
Our goal is to bring back that same culture
and quality through locally sourced products
from the USA, Hawaii and Japan.
-

The hope.
is to bring people together, support
the Local communities around us,
and share the Aloha spirit
that we were raised on.

Aloha
The Ohana Storya
Our family history
goes all the way back to Japan
then Hawai'i and finally to the Mainland.
The M. Ujiki general store was built in 1915 on the Big Island of Hawai'i and provided for the town of Honoka’a through the late 80's.
-

Our father and his 2 siblings all moved off the island to go to university and spread the Aloha on the mainland.
After 4 generations,
The M. Ujiki general store shut its doors in the late '80's but the Ujiki name still lives on with the community through the generations that still live on the island.
-

The new generation of Ujiki’s were born and raised in California, Hawaii and Chicago where they grew up with Japanese, Hawaiian and Mainland traditions and a continuous Love for Hawai'i.
We look forward to sharing our story
w/ the reopening of
The Masao General store
(renamed after our grandfather),
just like the generations before us,
we'll bring that same Aloha spirit
we were born and raised with.

Mahalo
